Sinopsis

Esta publicación, coordinada por José Manuel Valenzuela Arce, es un estudio acerca del graffiti y la caligrafía callejera en la ciudad de Tijuana (México). Incorpora textos que cuestionan los conceptos utilizados en la interpretación de los mundos fronterizos de la aculturación, la transculturación y los rizomas, analizando aspectos de la vida social, económica, cultural y artística en ambos lados de la frontera entre México y los Estados Unidos.

La atención se centra en la conformación de las identidades nacionales y los repertorios identitarios de la población fronteriza, los desplazamientos migratorios, las manifestaciones artísticas, los imaginarios y estereotipos sobre la frontera y los fronterizos, con énfasis en los procesos que ocurren al sur de la línea divisoria.

El contenido se enriquece con entrevistas a los actores de la escena del graffiti en la ciudad de Tijuana y con 150 fotografías tomadas en contexto.
