De 1852 a 1926, con Gaudí surgió un artista genial, que con toda naturalidad, creó desde sus primeras obras un estilo propio con fortísima personalidad. Cambió totalmente estilos y estructuras y lo hizo porque así brotaba de su mente enormemente creativa. En contraste con su originalidad, su praxis hunde sus raíces en la tradición, construía como los maestros góticos habían edificado la catedral. El libro, a través de 600 páginas profusamente ilustradas hace un recorrido completo por toda su obra, hasta llegar a su obra final en la sagrada familia, más todas sus artes decorativas, detallando de forma cronológica sus procesos de construcción.
