Sinopsis

Lo visible, hoy más que nunca, requiere una reflexión fundamentada sobre la problemática noción de autoridad. Ciertamente, la ciencia podría guiarnos hacia la objetividad del objeto visible entendido como objeto de conocimiento. Sin embargo, en el ámbito de la cultura, dicha reflexión no puede, por sí misma, certificar la identidad de un visible por otra parte vinculado a la inestable situación del individuo frente al mundo.

El presente libro, escrito desde la práctica artística y la reflexión filosófica, constituye una indagación sobre la creación plástica contemporánea, su relación activa con sus potenciales espectadores y con la realidad social que la acoge. El espacio, la materia y el otro son cuestiones que se manifiestan en un concepto de perspectiva condicionado por la noción de «interface», un lugar de paso, de comunicación, de confrontación, donde la idea de seducción está presente para asegurar la eficacia y la fecundidad del intercambio.

A lo largo de sus páginas, conceptos como aura, interferencia o visualidad, y referencias artísticas como Velázquez y Duchamp, articulan esta reveladora reflexión sobre la esencia de las artes plásticas, sobre su presente y, especialmente, sobre su futuro.
